Tour recap
Departures from Calasetta, 4 hours among coves, beaches and clear water.
Spiaggia Sottotorre
Calasetta's town beach combines soft sand, clear water and the profile of the tower built to guard the channel between Sant'Antioco and San Pietro. From the rib boat, village, tower and sea create a scenic opening to the tour.
Spiaggia La Salina
Fine white sand, small dunes dotted with sea lilies and a clear seabed that slopes gently into the water. Behind the beach, pines and reddish salt pans create a surprising contrast of colours.
Spiaggia Grande
The largest beach in Calasetta is a long stretch of soft white sand bordered by dunes, junipers and Mediterranean scrub. The sheltered bay and shallow sandy seabed light up the water with shades from turquoise to emerald.
Mangiabarche Lighthouse
In front of the pale Mangiabarche rocks, a small solitary lighthouse marks the dangerous outcrops that gave the place its name. From the sea, its profile suspended between sky and waves is one of the island's most photographed views.
Punta Caragoli
A secluded promontory where the coast becomes rockier and wilder, with small recesses and surfaces shaped by wind and waves. From the rib boat you can appreciate the stone patterns and the transparency of the water around them.
Cala Lunga
A long inlet similar to a small fjord leads from the open sea to a hidden beach sheltered from wind and currents. Coarse ochre sand, shells, coral fragments and rocks covered with Mediterranean scrub make the entrance especially scenic.
Cala Sapone
Two promontories embrace this famous crescent-shaped bay, protected offshore by small islands and rocks. Amber sand mixed with shells and coral, together with flat pale rocks, creates a natural mosaic best appreciated from the water.
Porto di Mezzaluna
A sheltered semicircular inlet surrounded by rocky walls that resemble a natural amphitheatre from the sea. Entering slowly reveals alternating bright rock faces, deep shadows and reflections on the water.
Grotta delle Sirene
A cavity carved into the coast and accessible from the sea, where light filters through the entrance and transforms rocks and water. Approaching by rib boat means watching a small natural show of shadows, emerald reflections and changing colours.
Capo Sperone
The southernmost tip of the island alternates rugged cliffs, solitary coves and Mediterranean scrub reaching towards the open sea. On the horizon, La Vacca, Il Vitello and the farther Il Toro rise from the water like ancient volcanic silhouettes.
Turri
At the foot of the promontory, three small coves follow one another with golden sand, pebbles and smooth stones. Above them stands the old coastal tower, while the sea shifts from turquoise to cobalt blue and green reflections.
Spiaggia Coe Quaddus
The name recalls the sinuous shape of the coastline. This long beach of coarse white sand, divided by a large rock and bordered by limestone cliffs, meets a shallow seabed with spectacular turquoise and green transparency.
Spiaggia Maladroxia
A beach about five hundred metres long, with light, fine and soft sand and some pebbly stretches, gently sliding into shallow water. From the sea you can feel the full width of the bay, framed by greenery and emerald-blue shades.
Spiaggia Portixeddu
A small, quiet stretch of coast made of pebbles and set between rocks and Mediterranean vegetation. From the rib boat it appears like a discreet hidden landing place, perfect for discovering the island's quieter side.
